Moulin à Vent is a Beaujolais cru harvested and characterised by its granite terroir rich in manganese. It owes its name to an old mill located on the hill of Romanèche-Thorins, it’s one of the greatest of Beaujolais wines.
Colour:
A sustained dark ruby.
Nose:
Lots of finesse combining notes of ripe fruit and spicy notes.
Taste:
Clean and supported by melted and racy tannins. Its ageing in oak barrels brings harmony, finesse and a beautiful vanilla and spicy length. It is a structured and subtle wine.
Food-wine pairings:
Perfect with grilled red meats or in sauce, game as well as with soft cheeses (Camembert, Brie, Savarin, Munster, Époisses…).
