Origin

Chénas, whose name comes from the granite slopes once planted with oak, is the rarest of the 10 Beaujolais vintages. It is known to be "a wreath of flowers placed in a velvet basket".

Flattering, floral aromas with ripe fruit (blackcurrant, cherry) that then give way to subtle woody and spicy notes.

Concentrated, but tender. It is typical of its appellation, with finesse and aromatic complexity.
